CWM Material Analysis with microDAC® Software Solutions

Expand your Kammrath & Weiss testing modules with powerful image and volume correlation from CWM.

Since 1995, we at Kammrath & Weiss have been developing highly specialized testing systems for research and industry. In partnership with CWM GmbH – Chemnitzer Werkstoffmechanik, we now offer you state-of-the-art software solutions for 2D and 3D material analysis – perfectly matched to our hardware.

VEDDAC 7

Universal 2D image correlation for in-plane displacements and local strain fields.

VEDDAC volume

Analysis of internal structural changes based on 3D volume correlation of X-ray data.

VEDDAC py

The Python-based interface to VEDDAC enables direct control and automation of image correlation processes.

Video Extensometer – High-Precision Strain Measurement without Markers

Our partners at CWM offer a powerful, marker-free system for optical strain measurement with the video extensometer based on microDAC® technology – ideal in combination with the testing modules from Kammrath & Weiss.

By using digital image correlation (DIC), strains and displacements can be recorded in real time, contact-free and non-destructively – even under demanding testing conditions.

Integration with K&W Systems

The video extensometer from CWM unfolds its full potential in combination with the modular testing systems from Kammrath & Weiss. Whether tensile tests under vacuum, temperature changes, electrical contacting, or SEM operation – our platforms provide the ideal environment to integrate the powerful strain measurement of microDAC® precisely and flexibly.

Through seamless mechanical and software integration, an intelligent overall system is created that offers users maximum informative value with minimal effort. The modular design of our components allows for quick adaptation to various testing requirements – from standard tests to specialized in-situ measurements.

  • Compatible with all common K&W testing modules (tension, compression, temperature, contacting, etc.)

  • Optimal positioning of the video extensometer directly at the test setup

  • In-situ strain measurement also possible in a scanning electron microscope (SEM)

  • Easy expandability of existing K&W setups through CWM technology

  • Highest precision combined with a compact and robust system design

  • Ideal for research, development, and quality assurance on a laboratory scale
